Handcrafted From Scratch: How Beyond Studio Builds Furniture for Koramangala and Indiranagar Homes

From scratch means the piece does not begin as a catalogue item that gets resized. It begins as a design drawn for your space, then engineered, built, finished and installed by one team.

Beyond is a design-led furniture and manufacturing unit. Designers, engineers, craftspeople and technology sit in one ecosystem, so the idea you approve is the idea that gets built.

Everything starts with a conversation: how you live, who uses the piece, what you already own and what the room needs. For homes in Koramangala and Indiranagar we can visit, measure the space and look at light, walls and circulation before a line is drawn.

Every piece begins with proportion. Our philosophy is form, function and finesse: simple without being ordinary, and shaped around real use. Dimensions, seat depth, storage and mechanisms are decided here, not left to chance at the factory.

The design is resolved into build detail: how it joins, what it is made from, and how it will carry weight and age. Our collections use woods such as walnut and teak, veneers, and upholstery fabrics, and we are happy to talk through options for your piece.

Woodwork, upholstery and cabinetry are built at our manufacturing unit on the Chandapura to Dommasandra Road near Sarjapur Road, Anekal, on the outskirts of Bengaluru. Because we make it ourselves, craftspeople can fix a detail the moment it needs fixing rather than passing the problem down a supply chain.

Finesse lives in what others overlook:

• An edge that is finished, not just cut
• A joint that is clean and strong
• A grain chosen and matched with care
• A stitch that is even and tight
• A finish that feels as good as it looks

We deliver and install the piece ourselves, then provide a warranty and maintenance guidance. From our Koramangala office in 6th Block, the route to Indiranagar and across the city is a short one.

Homes in these neighbourhoods are rarely standard: a compact apartment needing smart storage, an older independent house with unusual proportions, a flat with a particular balcony or wall. Furniture made from scratch fits those rooms instead of fighting them.

Beyond Studio is based in Koramangala and makes furniture for homes and businesses across Bangalore, including Indiranagar, HSR Layout, Sarjapur Road, Whitefield, Jayanagar, JP Nagar and Bellandur. If you are shortlisting furniture makers in Bangalore, the questions that matter are the ones above: who makes it, can you see how, and who stands behind it after installation.

We are a design-led furniture and manufacturing unit that builds in-house, installs its own work and supports it afterwards. That is why Bangalore homeowners, designers and businesses come to us when they want furniture made properly.
