Project Story: Banquettes, Bar Millwork and Brass Inlay at Punjab Bistro, Marathahalli
Punjab Bistro in Marathahalli, on Bengaluru's Outer Ring Road, was an old space stripped back to its bones and brought to life with a new soul. Beyond Studio shaped the transformation in 2023, from the first wall that came down to the final detail.
The furniture was built to run at capacity most nights. Here is how.
Built for a Busy Room
- Banquette seating and bar millwork built with sealed timber for high nightly turnover
- Upholstery panels designed to be replaced individually, without touching the frame
- Brass inlay added by hand to soften a room that runs at capacity
- Millwork tested under the room's low lighting so the finish reads correctly at night
- Built to hold up at full capacity from opening night
Speed Without Cutting Corners
We have delivered projects in under three weeks. We work efficiently and with speed: design, furniture-making and installation sit with one in-house team, so there is no hand-off between a designer, a factory and an installer.
Lessons for Restaurant Owners
Choose finishes that survive daily cleaning, ask whether upholstery can be replaced panel by panel, and test finishes in the lighting they will actually live in. We apply the same thinking to cafes and restaurants across Bangalore, from Indiranagar to Whitefield.
